Just a note to thank you for appearing at the Palo Alto Jazz Alliance Members' Party. Everyone in attendance was blown away by the swinging cats in your band and their high quality of musicianship. Your guys really "owned" those charts and blew us away.

I heard from more than one member comments to the effect of... "Hey, I thought this was supposed to be just a 'local' group---but they sure as heck don't sound 'local'! They are really, really good! Where did you find them?” And I replied, "Aren't they something?....They're out of Foster City, but they play like New York City."

We all agreed that Octobop was a rare find and deserved a lot more stage time around the Bay Area and beyond.Your CD is great, but the live gig is the real deal.

Thank you again for enlivening our party and playing the big band bop music that hits the spot with our straight ahead crowd. We love ya, man.

Best regards,
D. Michael Griffin
